MFSI is excited to announce the following NFFF programs being offered at MFSI HQ in Brunswick on September 20, 2025. This weekend will also host a number of NFA programs so the campus will be filled with fire service professionals for networking and learning opportunities.
Attributes of Leading (AoL) is a highly interactive, practical, case study-based course that focuses on twelve qualities of leading: competence, constructive influence, grit, humility, presence, resilience, self-mastery, self-regulation, stepping up, trust, vigilance, and wellness. AoL is designed to build more effective fire service leaders of all ranks through a process of view, review, introspection, and discussion. Feedback from participants attending have been overwhelmingly positive, with many reporting immediate utilization.
LEADERSHIP, ACCOUNTABILITY, CULTURE & KNOWLEDGE (LACK) examines the root causes of LODDs and the role leadership, accountability, culture, and knowledge play as it influences the result. Many fire departments across the United States “LACK” the right stuff to prevent them from being on a path to a line of duty death. Through education and training, those departments can improve their survivability by understanding the root causes of firefighter fatalities with special emphasis on understanding fire service culture.
